Swimming, back on...

I am going to hit the pool tonight. No pain in shoulder as of yesterday morning. Hoping it stays away and I won't have to worry about it. I hate being injured. It is the worst feeling in the world when you are trying to train for an event that is really important to you. Today I need to work on getting rehydrated. I went a little overboard on Saturday night, but that happens when you are having a great time. I got my bike cleaned up yesterday. It was not near as disgusting as I thought it was, but it was still pretty bad. Now it is all shiny and ready to go it for its check up. I am hoping to get it back by tomorrow night so I can get out and bike otherwise I will have to take out the mountain bike. I did work on that yesterday too. Didn't clean it (it needs it bad too), but got it in a rideable condition. I am going to have to take it in to get it back at 100%. Maybe this winter when they aren't as busy and I have more time. Saturday's 5 hour bike ride turned into a 3 hour ride on the trainer. I was very impressed with myself for getting up out of bed Saturday morning. It is mostly because I slept for 12 hours Friday night. I was out of bed at 6:30, walked the dog, and threw my gear in the car. The plan was to start in Ankeny and head North. I got one block and turned back. It was a popcicle already. I do not have the gear to ride in 40 degree weather. I went home and got on the trainer. It was a struggle mentally to get through it. I am on my last cycle of building before my 2 week taper to Kansas. I am starting to get more stressed out about the whole running thing because on Friday my foot is starting to feel pressure in the area of the fracture. I am not sure if it is in my head or if there is something going on. I am hoping it is just a little "tired" from wearing sandles all day at a job site. It doesn't bother me when I have my tennis shoes on. I did not try to run this weekend, but will tonight. If there is any pain, I am off it again until my races. I might have to forgoe Bluff Creek, which is super dissapointing, but might be necessary. I am hoping these final weeks to race time go smooth. I probably will take the week before Bluff Creek to fine tune my transitions and nutrition. I am hoping to get in atleast one open water swim before Bluff Creek. Does anyone know the temp of Blue Heron Lake at Raccoon River Park?
