How do you know?
Ok. So this is something that has kind of bothered me. Not really, but it did happen again today. On my Register blog, people comment about what I should be doing and what I shouldn't be doing. Sometimes it is common sense things that, yes you can answer correctly, but when I say what my workouts are, how does anyone but myself know if it is going to be good or bad for me? Example: this weekend I am planning a 3 hour bike saturday with a short run and then Bluff Creek Tri sunday (oly). Comment was to only do a spin on Saturday because those 2 back to back will take its toll on my body. Yes, yes it will, but that is exactly what I want it to do. After this weekend I start my taper for Kansas so this week is my final build and my schedule calls for a 3:30 bike, 50 run, 30 swim sat and a 2:10 run and 50 bike sunday. My original plan was to do dam to dam sat and bluff creek sunday. Since I can't run Dam to Dam or 2:10 for that matter, I am changing it to a bike. And why not? I am also not going out to do Bluff Creek other than to make sure I get my ass in gear and do something on Sunday versus sitting on my ass all day. I hope that I am super sore on Monday and that I got in 2 quality workouts because for the next 2 weeks, I won't hardly be doing anything. So...why would you want to make a comment about someone else's training plan when you don't know anything other than the workouts? It would be like someone saying "I am running an ultramarathon tomorrow" and me answering well I think you should take it easy, that will be hard on your body. Hahaha. Ok enough about that. So I am planning on making this a tough weekend and I am ready for it. I am SO ready for it. Tuesday night I went swimming with a couple fellow tri bloggers. It was really nice to finally meet them in person. Swimming in the rain is just as fun as running in the rain. I just wish it was a little warmer. It was nice because no one else was around so when I strip down in the parking lot, I don't have to worry about to many people seeing my ass. :) Wednesday I was back in the pool for 30 min because that was all I could swim. My shoulder is still getting this sore feeling, but it goes away within a couple hours after I stop so I am slowly pushing my time. I am hoping that it just needs to get strengtened up again since I haven't really swam in 4 weeks. Stupid injuries. I subed for a softball team Wednesday night which wore me out big time. It was because I got on base everytime, but this league is different. All 10 batters hit every inning. The 10th batter hits it and the outfield has to get it home before the runner does. I bat 9th so when I get on base, the next move is to sprint for home as fast as I can...every inning. This can wear a person out. Plus the game is 30 min longer than a normal game. It was also very cold. It was good though to do some sprints. My legs are finally getting use to wearing cleats again. Only a tiny bit sore today. Some stretching tonight should elimate that. Thursday I did a 1.5 hour bike. I felt horribly slow. My legs were tired and I just couldn't get going. Then I played my final spring softball league game. We won and came home with the League Championship. It was awesome. So I will be wearing that t-shirt around for the next week :) Today is my off day. I didn't think that I had that much to do this weekend, but I really do. I didn't mow lawn last week so it is like a hay field right now in my yard and I am almost out of underwear. If you knew me, you would be very surprised at this since I have about 100 pair of underwear. Yes, it has been a long time since I washed clothes. The hamper was full 3 weeks ago and now the entire bottom of my closet is covered. It wouldn't be to bad if it was just work clothes, but I have been to Big Creek 3 times and sailorville once and those clothes are in there. I don't even want to think about it. Despite the "advice" of not doing the 3 hour bike saturday, I am doing a 3 hour bike Saturday. Going to try to get up early to watch my friends run the Dam to Dam since it goes right by my house and then I will take off on the bike. I will come home and get my stuff ready for Sunday, do a few practice transitions and then I will see how much energy I have left. Might hold off and mow lawn on Sunday. Like I am sure that will happen. It will probably be another week before I do it, lol. My neighbors are probably wondering what happened to me because I have never let my lawn go this long without mowing. Oh, so many things to do, but I love it. I love getting out, working out, playing softball, watching softball and just being out of the house. My dog hates me, but what can ya do. College world series softball tourny is in action this weekend. I see Washington went on, but Missouri got beat. I really wanted to them to win because of the Big 12, but also because Arizona St. needs to lose. Seems like it is the same teams every year that end up in the finals. Also I have a ticket to the Principal Charity Classic. Probably have to go by myself since no one else has tickets. Not really sure what I am suppose to do there so I might not be there very long unless I find the beer tent early :) Ok well good luck Dam runners and see you on the Beach Bluff Creek racers.

You could always ride 3 hours with me AFTER the race on Sunday! HA! But then again, I'm only doing the sprint.
The guy that commented (Matt) - he is attempting to become a tri coach as a FT job. If he was good at that, he'd understand that you are following a training plan and that this Oly is just a small part of the big picture. Ignore him. (I have a soapbox on this, but will spare you the details....)
