Great Night!
Last night my intention was to get out on the bike for 1:20-1:40 and then run after. This did not happen, but what did happen was so much better. My bf came over and helped repair a broken window at my house. When I say help, I mean, he did all the work while I stood and watched :) It was weird to actually have someone help me since I have always had to do it myself or hire someone. It was super sweet of him and I am so thankful for his help. He had to take off for a softball game while I was left to finish the glazing. This took me longer than I had expected, mostly because I didn't want to do it. By the time I finished, got everything cleaned up and changed, it was 7:30. Decision: bike or run? I was not going to get both in before dark and before I needed to eat by 8:30 so the decision was easy...run. I grabbed the dog and we took off. 2 min walk, 8 min run x 3. I ran on a familiar route so I new the mileage. I was able to maintain an 8 min pace, which I was super surprised at, but at the end of each mile, my heart rate was very high. I was able to get in 3 miles total in 24 min, but without the 2 min walks, I don't think I could have maintained that pace for the entire 3 miles. My body remembers how to go fast and really wanted to go, but my lungs were saying NO, very loud and clear. Tonight I am heading to the pool. My shoulder feels better today. When I was stretching last night, I didnt get that normal achy feeling I was getting last week. Hopefully when I get out of the pool it won't be raining so I can get outside on the bike for a ride. Today I finally feel like my body is back to "normal". The last 2 weeks, I could tell that something just wasn't right. I didn't want to eat, I was low in energy from not eating and tired, very tired. I lost 5 pounds in those weeks, which is not good. I probably would have lost more if I had actually finished all of my workouts so it is probably a good thing I couldn't finish all of them. Yesterday, my appetite finally came back, I pigged out and today I feel so much better. I woke up this morning and finally felt refreshed and ready to start the day. I almost thought about working out this morning, then I slapped myself in the face and came back to my senses. Next week is bike to work week. I signed up again this year, but really not wanting to do it yet. I do like doing it because it is an extra 40 min of biking I can get in rather than driving. I don't like having gross hair all day though. I do need to "fix" my mountain bike yet from the last time I was on the trails. I just need to adjust the derailer and brakes. Nothing important :) That is why there is 2 of each right? lol. I am also playing softball again this Thursday, which I am super excited about. I guess taking those few years off after getting burnt out on it really helped spark interest again. Well, speaking of normal, I am going to get something to eat, I am hungry...

YEAH! Glad to hear your workout went well. You are turning the corner and will be back up to speed in no time!!!
