Good progress

Saturday - 76 miles in 4:20 = 17.6 miles per hour. Not very happy with that. I am very happy about getting in the 76 miles, but was hoping to get in 80 or at the very least average 19 miles per hour. I rode this on the bondurant to Baxter trail. It is 40 miles round trip. I made the first out and back in 2:15. I stopped back at my car half way to refill water bottles and grap some more gels and then I was off again. I went to mile 18 and then turned back. I stopped to stretch because my hip flexor was bothering me and my neck could use the break. The trail is relatively flat. Slightly down hill on the way out and slightly uphill on the way back. Plus that was into the wind. When I started, there was only a 5 mile per hour wind. By the time I was on my second lap, it was up to 12+. No wonder I had a hard time coming back. I thought it was because I was exhausted. Overall I felt really good. My back, neck and saddle region was all that bothered me, other than my already sore hip flexor. I am confident I can do the 112 miles on the bike now. I was hoping my time for this would be faster because it was flat and very little wind. Since Louisville is way hillier and probably will be windier, probably looking at only 15 mph average for the bike. That is 7.5 hours, which is under the 8 hour time mark so I will be happy with that. I was suppose to run on Sunday, but drank a little to much Saturday so I forced myself to get up and out of bed this morning and did the run today. How do people work out in the morning? If my dog wasn't pulling me along, I don't think I would have moved. Tonight I have a swim and a bike. I think I am going to get the disc wheel out tonight since it is suppose to be a little windier so I can try it out in windier conditions. Debating about putting the 808 on the front. That makes me nervous. I feel like this post is just rambling on and not making any sense today so I am going to stop. I need to go back to bed.
