I completed my 100 mile bike ride in 5:15. Yes! I was so pumped. That will equate to a sub hour bike for an ironman, except now I need to figure out how to make Louisville flat. lol. Because I did not have any "real" hills on this ride. I actually felt really good on this ride the entire time. My neck started bothering me, but it never got to the point where it was painful. I was super pumped about doing the Ironman now, until I opened up my blog and saw there was only 48 days left. Augh. I am super nervous now. Scared mostly on how the day is going to go and knowing that I am going to be in pain and it is going to hurt like hell. I just saw that Chrissie Wellington finished Challenge Roth this weekend in 8:31:59! New world record for an ironman distance. That is so insane. She is so fast. How does she keep getting faster and faster? A 4:40 bike for the new record too. Wow is all I can say. Wow!
My training has brought me to this week. This will be my longest hours of training for my entire Ironman training. 19 Hours for the week. I am hoping to get all of these hours in. My foot has been "up in the air" the last week and I have been more nervous about running on it than I really should have been. I am hoping to get in some good mileage running this week to get my going again. This last weekend wiped me out. It was so much fun. When you try to squeeze in lots of fun, sleep tends to be the thing that gets shorted. I was kind of looking forward to working today just to get some structure/routine back. But it was a super great weekend.
