Equalizer Run

Training for essentially an ultramarathon hurts. Why would anyone train for just a marathon? To much running, lol. The last couple weeks I have been running about 4 days a week with 2 of those days 5 miles, one day 10-12, and a long run of 14-18 miles. My IM training was not this, but I think it helped me a lot that I could spread out my run days more and extend my aerobic run with a bike effort. I have not been on my bike in about a month. I don't ride outside in the cold mostly because I just don't have the gear to and I have been super lazy about putting it on the trainer. I have gone to a couple spin classes and water aerobics to fill in my "extra" training time. This week I will be at work for about 12 hours a day because I have a project due next week. It sucks because I really need this week to get a final good workout week before my race next Saturday. On top of it all, I am sick. Sunday I ran 18 miles and came home and didn't do anything the rest of the day. I am pretty sure that is when I started getting sick. I had no energy and later that evening I had to blow my nose all the time. Yesterday I could start feeling it in my face and head. It's all in my sinuses. Great. I hope it doesn't turn into an infection. I bought sinus med this morning and will pop those pills all day. It actually gets worse at night because I am laying down and it all runs into my head. So I will continue sucking down water and pills. I am also pretty sure that when I was walking through the skywalk into work, I had snot just about ready to drip from my nose...Nice.
